I adore my real-life Mortarion miniature and really wanted to like this one but sadly, the few good moments of character growth and introspection were buried beneath tons of edgy gore, atrocious worldbuilding and battle scenes that drag on for too long.
It is still vulnerable from above down the shaft it came down so a force including Garro is sent that way. Also this "The Imperium, but even more swarm-like and worse" is in a few of the novels in this series so maybe they all have the same origin. Seeking to understand its horrors, two noble primarchs have come to Galaspar, summoning their brother to account for his actions. If an article link referred you here, you might want to go back and fix it to point directly to the intended page.In my opinion, the backstory and motivation for each of the traitor Primarchs are significantly more interesting than that of their loyalist brothers. Mortarion is a bit stunned here and other two primarchs leaves seemingly really hoping Mortarion changes his ways. The fifteenth instalment in The Horus Heresy Primarchs series, The Pale King tells of the atrocities committed by the Reaper in the name of justice – and the consequences of challenging his methods.
The ending really adds an element of tragedy to his story and much like my other favourite books in the Primarchs series, it leaves you with this tantalising thought of "What If? For Warhammer 40,000 he has written Warlord: Fury of the God-Machine, the Yarrick series, and several stories involving the Grey Knights, as well as titles for The Beast Arises and the Space Marine Battles series. The Death Guard in the "present" setting do carry a distinct sense of horror with their rotting carcasses. Pero el grueso del libro es la primera campaña de Mortarion y su Guardia de la Muerte, la cual se narra con un ritmo y falta de soltura que a mi en lo particular me hizo eterna su lectura.
Maybe other approaches are better suited for planets those primarchs encounter, but he will deal with his obstacles his way. That's the only meaning they see in it - the meaning of obedience, not the point of the tally itself. Some good insight into Mortarion’s character, through the lens of his first campaign and “compliance”. Then one of the "units" appears and while afraid tells Mortarion how she finished her allotted corpse counting. Keeble delivers a great performance, While his choice in Mortarion's voice surprised me, it never irked me.
But the Pale King brooks no challenge to his methods, for when the scythe falls, it reaps a gruesome toll. Horus and Sanguinius arrived on the main planet of the Galaspar cluster first and are looking about.
